Sorry, not a lot to say today, but I'll try and talk some more tomorrow.

Scared

So, tomorrow I go to court.  It's for driving on a suspended license, but I didn't know it was still suspended.  I paid all my court costs, paid for a lawyer last time, all that, about $2500, and I didn't know I had to pay the DMV $35 to reinstate my license.

So I have all my papers in order, every receipt, I went to the DMV to get my license reinstated, so I plead not guilty, and tomorrow's the trial.  I'm scared.

I doubt I'll go to jail, I really do, because it just doesn't seem like a jail-worthy offense, but who knows??  Most likely, though, I'll just get a fine, which sucks, but I'll take that over jail any day.

Sometimes he drives me crazy

Disclaimer: It's not his fault, this is just how he works, but it drives me up the wall.

So Luke keeps talking about how he wants another dog.  He does, but he wants to take his time about it.  He sees dogs at the shelter, or we meet a dog from craigslist, but he doesn't want to get the dog then.  He has to see it and then spend a week thinking about it.  Then, of course, that dog is no longer available.

DUH!!

We've got Shadow now, someone from his work has a dog they can't take with them when they move, so we're puppysitting to see if Shayera gets along with Shadow.  They get along great.  Fortunately, Luke's got a little time to think it over.  But he says his kneejerk reaction is that the dog's sweet, they get along, but he's not sure it's the right fit for him.  Which is fine, but I've about decided to stop looking for a dog for him and let him just surprise me with one one day, so I don't get emotionally invested in it.

I can't believe it!

I've done such a good job of just letting my boss's shit just roll off my back for so long.  Sure, he annoys me, but I don't ever let it affect me.

This last week, he's gotten me actually PISSED off.  I can't believe it.  Guess I gotta take a vacation!

Fortunately, I've got one coming up.  Surprises for Lukie!!

Yesterday was his birthday, and we spent it at his brother's house playing D&D and just relaxing.  Jake made some AWESOME bean soup, and Erin made some DELICIOUS peanut butter and white chocolate cookies.  It was pretty great.

We're thinking about getting another dog.  Someone at Luke's work has a chihuahua she can't take with her to her new apartment.  It may not be such a great idea, though, because we might be inheriting an 18 year old dog that's blind and deaf and just grumpy.  We shall see, though.

I suppose I should give the basics on me before I go too far, though it's hilarious to think that anyone that doesn't know me is reading this.

My name is Jacob.  I'm 28 at this moment.  I'm an actor/singer/dancer/writer/producer that makes his living as an Office Manager at a real estate firm in Atlanta.  What's that, you say?  Someone making a living at real estate in times like these?  Yes, doubter, it can be done.  Mostly because I'm salary, but my agents are doing pretty well for themselves, because the inventory's out there, people just have to get the balls to buy the damn houses.

Anyway, I'm writing this show, called "Fabulous & Gorgeous."  No, you haven't seen it, but you will.  My friend Derek and I started writing it a couple of years ago because we were tired of auditioning and wanted to create something original for television that might be different than anything you've seen.  So, we created a Prime-Time soap set in the 70s centered around two gay men and their three closest female friends.  Sound different yet?  I got more, but I ain't telling nothing yet.  I want someone to come buy this show from us so we can act in it!!

I live a pretty charmed life, actually.  It hasn't always been so, but I'm on the road to redeeming myself for my mistakes.  I've got fantastic parents who love me and would do anything for me.  My brother and I don't always see eye-to-eye, but what brothers do? and again, we'd do anything for each other. And I've got the world's best partner.  He's honestly amazing.  Everyone should be so lucky.  But no one can have him; he's MINE!

We've got a great apartment in Little Five Points (www.basslofts.com), and the world's cutest beagle.  She's 10 months old.   And fantastic in-laws.  Again, everyone should be so lucky.  My best friends are, besides Luke, Amy, Erin, Jake, Phillip, and Barron.  And I think that's enough for you to be getting on with.
